WOD (Workout of the day) sessions at synergy Chester
We run specialised fitness classes in our Chester fitness centre. The aim of our classes is to open up activities in a more personalised setting for people maybe not 100% comfortable with the 1 on 1 nature of personal training. The brilliant thing about our groups is that we’re able to offer the more personalised setting of personal training while retaining the atmosphere and motivation from having friends and other people join in with you. Our group sessions are also a fantastic addition to your weekly fitness routine, mixing them in with other activities can really envigorate and augment your progress towards your ideal you by providing motivated and constructed fitness sessions which can really add an extra level to your fitness.
Our WOD sessions are perfect to work in with CrossFit fitness plans. WOD started in CrossFit gyms but has now been transferred and used in gyms, fitness centres and with personal trainers all over the country. WOD stands for Workout Of The Day and is designed as a day by day fitness guide, each workout is different however in tandem and done over the week each exercise works out different muscle groups and compliment each other.
Synergy Chesters Workout Of The Day (WOD) program
WOD stands for Workout Of the Day (a term popularised by CrossFit gyms but now used in many functional fitness facilities)
This session starts with technique work on one or two more complex weight lifting movements. The trainer help you perfect your technique and master some of the more complex movements such as Deadlifts, Front Squats, Back Squats, Overhead Squats, Power Cleans and Snatches.
The sessions always finish with a high tempo WOD consisting of a list of reps and sets for you to get through as quick as you can. These are still tailored to allow an inclusive session for all abilities as different members will use different weights or difficulty variations on some exercises.
